Yes, window tinting is legal in Victoria when it meets VicRoads regulations. The legal minimum Visible Light Transmission (VLT) in Victoria is 35% for front side windows and the windscreen strip. Rear windows and the rear windscreen have no VLT restriction. Every Go Tinting installation is fully VicRoads compliant — we specify and verify the correct VLT for each window.
Most standard sedan and SUV window tinting jobs are completed same-day at our Broadmeadows studio — typically 2–4 hours depending on the vehicle and number of windows. We recommend dropping your car off in the morning and collecting it by the afternoon. Same-day installations are available for most vehicles.
